Online Payment by e-Wallet » Wallie

e-Wallets (or virtual wallets) are usually used as an alternative to a physical wallet. The user can charge his e-Wallet via the Internet or with a scratch card that can be purchased in a kiosk or physical outlet. The values vary from between 5 Euros (Micropayments) and about 100 Euros. When there is a balance in the e-Wallet, purchases may be made using that balance on websites that support this payment method.

The advantages of such an e-Wallet are that its use is anonymous and no more than the current balance (unlike, for example, a credit card) can be spent. This form of payment is especially popular with children whose parents want to be assured of a limited online spending pattern (for example, on games, ringtones, etc.).
